Welcome to our over 200-year-old farmhouse, a place where genuine alpine tradition and alpine comfort make your stay particularly pleasant. The lovingly preserved farmhouse parlor, the original wood, and the authentic atmosphere let you feel the history in these rooms as soon as you enter. Here, you will experience a mountain vacation with character and charm.
The house offers a total of eight cozy sleeping places, 1 double bedroom, 1 passage room (bunk bed), and a multi-bed room (2 single beds and 1 bunk bed), making it ideal for families, groups of friends, or smaller teams who value privacy and a homely environment. You enjoy the entire farmhouse for your exclusive use.
A note about the ceiling height. This traditional farmhouse was built at a time when people were shorter than today. Therefore, the ceiling heights are lower than in modern houses—an authentic detail that contributes to the historical atmosphere.
The farmhouse is just a few minutes' walk from the village center. Restaurants, bars, shopping options, and numerous leisure and sports activities are conveniently accessible. This way, you can combine absolute tranquility and retreat options with the proximity to everything that enriches your vacation.
In summer, the hiking adventures start practically right at your doorstep: Numerous routes and tour possibilities begin right at the house. In winter, you can reach the village lift in just a few minutes, and shortly thereafter, glide over freshly groomed slopes, enjoying skiing right at your doorstep.

Current information
Our holiday home is one of the last 3 original Walser houses in Brand and is over 200 years old. The cozy farmer's living room still provides a homely atmosphere with the tiled stove and allows you to experience the added value of a holiday in the mountains. With a total of 8 beds, the house is perfect for families and groups. However, our ancestors were smaller than we are today, so the room heights are somewhat lower, which should be considered when booking. The beautiful view from our veranda into the surrounding mountain landscape is highly appreciated by our guests.
Room layout in the house: 1 double bedroom, 1 bunk bed room (through room), 1 room with 1 bunk bed and 2 single beds, living room, 2 bathrooms/WC, kitchen.
Travel arrangements
The apartement house Walserhus is ready for check-in at 3 o’clock in the afternoon (p.m.) and needs to be left on departure day at 10 o’clock in the morning (a.m.). We are pleased to send you all arrival informations a few days prior your arrival.
General terms and conditions of business
The accommodation contract is concluded upon acceptance of the offer and the sending of the reservation confirmation by Walserhaus Brand, as well as the payment of a deposit of approximately 30% of the total price of the stay.
Rental Period
The holiday home is available for the period specified in the booking confirmation. The earliest occupancy time is 3:00 PM on the day of arrival. The holiday home must be vacated by 10:00 AM on the day of departure. Any other arrangements require prior written agreement.
Payment
Access to the holiday home is only possible if the entire price of the stay has been received into the Walserhaus / Gertrud Neurauter account at least one month before the start of the holiday.
Withdrawal from the Accommodation Contract
If you are unable to start your vacation, the following cancellation conditions apply:
Up to 2 months before arrival
No cancellation fees
2 months to 1 month before arrival
30% of the price of the stay
1 month to 1 week before arrival
70% of the price of the stay
In the last week before arrival,
on the day of arrival, or in the event of early departure
90% of the price of the stay
We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance.
Authorized Persons in the Rental Property
Only those persons named in the reservation confirmation may use the vacation home. Any other use is contrary to the contract. In this case, the landlord is entitled to take the necessary measures at his or her discretion.
Entry to the Vacation Home by the Landlord
The landlord or a person authorized by us is authorized to enter the vacation home after prior notification to carry out necessary repairs or to check the tenant's compliance with their contractual obligations.
Handling the Rental Property
The holiday home will be handed over to you in perfect and clean condition upon arrival. Should anything not meet your expectations, please notify the landlord immediately on the day of arrival. You agree to treat the property and its contents with care and to return it in the same condition as received. If you cause any damage, you must document it with a photo and explanation and report it to the landlord immediately.
In the event of disruptions to the water supply, electricity supply, sewage line disruptions, or internet connection interruptions, no legal consequences will arise. We ask that you notify us immediately if these or similar disruptions occur. We will endeavor to resolve the problem quickly.
We ask that you NOT smoke anywhere in the house. An ashtray is provided on the balcony/veranda for your enjoyment.
The holiday home is not a party location.
A small garbage station is also located in the former laundry room. Plastic waste, residual waste, paper, glass, and metal can be stored here.
Tenant's Valuables
The landlord assumes no responsibility or liability for any belongings or valuables brought with you. You are responsible for ensuring that valuables are adequately insured. Please ensure that the vacation home is locked during your absence.
Internet Use
Using the internet under a false name, downloading illegal content, and any unauthorized use of the internet is prohibited. The tenant will be held liable for any violation of Austrian and/or international law.
Liability
The landlord is not liable for damages, injuries, or illnesses suffered by the tenant or other guests during their stay. The landlord assumes no liability or responsibility for any complaints made after the end of the vacation.
Please note, in particular, that parents are liable for their children.
